Patrick Bellan works as a tree specialist for the City of Malmö, where he is responsible for the management and development of an urban tree population of more than 100,000 trees. His work spans strategic issues related to diversity and resilience within the city’s tree population, as well as detailed assessments of species selection, site adaptation, and vegetation‑based technical solutions. In parallel, he runs a consultancy that supports both municipalities and architectural firms in their work with urban greenery.

Patrick is president of the Swedish Tree Association and serves on the board of the Nordic Fund for Urban Trees. In both roles, he works to strengthen knowledge exchange on tree‑related issues among Nordic cities.
