To assess which common Nordic urban trees are in the danger zone of losing the battle to climate change, The Tree Office has done climate forecasting for the 70 most common tree species planted in Stockholm. The climate forecasts illustrate how various tree species are affected by future climate changes across Europe. By including factors such as temperature variations and precipitation patterns, the projections highlight which trees will be negatively or positively impacted by climate changes, region by region. With their level of detail, the projections provide a valuable tool for urban planners, arborists, researchers, and other stakeholders in the green sector. Gustav will be presenting the results from the forecasts with hands-on recommendations on how to work with species selections towards the new climate of the year 2100.
